How do I?

Find my Class Textbook?

For many of the first-year general education courses, a copy of the class textbook will be available for viewing with the Undergraduate Library under Textbook Reserves. To see if your class/professor has a copy on hold, click the provided link and enter in your course information. You'll need your OneCard to view the book for 2-hours within the UGL.

Renew my Books?

Simply sign into your Library Account with your Access ID and password. There you can make any necessary changes.

Locate a Computer or Study Room on Campus?

The UGL, Purdy/Kresge Library and the Shiffman Medical Library all provide computers for student use.  

There over 35 study rooms available at the UGL.  You can reserve a study room up to 2 weeks in advance, up to 3 hours per day.

Get Help?

Help is available 24x7 through our library Chat. Just click on HELP at the top of any library webpage to reach someone right away. You can also reach us by email or phone. You can also make an appointment with a Subject Specialist Librarian to get individual assistance with your research for papers and projects.

Get Help with Writing

Located on the 2nd floor of the UGL, the Writing Center at the WRT Zone offers support for writing in many different ways, including generating ideas, revision, resumes, personal statement, etc. They offer face-to-face tutoring, in-class, workshops, online, and virtual meetings. Get Started with Research using Research Guides

A great place to find suggestions for article databases, books, online journals, etc. to start your research are the Research Guides.  There is a guide for each subject of study.  Note that each guide has Subject Specialist Librarian you can contact with any further questions or to meet with him/her for a one-to-one research consultation.
