Freedom of the Press

Freedom of the press is the freedom of communication and expression through tools such as electronic media and published materials.  Its preservation is often maintained through legal and constitutional protections.  The "Gonzo fist" was first used by Hunter S. Thompson in his campaign to become sheriff of Aspen, CO.  It has become a symbol of Thompson and gonzo journalism, which accroding to Thompson, follows the idea that objectivism in journalism is a "myth".
