About the Department

The Department of Communication at Wayne State University is composed of a number of academic areas including communication studies, dispute resolution, public relations, film, journalism and media arts and studies. The department is composed of about 20 tenure and tenure track faculty with strong backgrounds in both scholarly and professional approaches to communication.

I hope that you will find this guide a useful starting place for your research in Communication. I have assembled a core collection of resources available through the Wayne State University Library System, as well as high quality, freely available web resources. This guide is a collaborative work-in-progress, developed with the suggestions and feedback from students and faculty in Communication.
