Guide to the books Wayne State University's President, M. Roy Wilson, read during the COVID-19 shut down (from March 2020 to March 2021)
About this guide
Reading is more than fundamental. Wayne State University President M. Roy Wilson shows how reading a variety of books in different genres teaches and helps us to expand. Reading allows us to not only be entertained but grow intellectually. While the world, including Wayne State University, is going through challenges with the COVID pandemic, reading provides an outlet. It is our hope that you will be motivated to read a book recommended by President Wilson. All books are available through Wayne State University Libraries.
The Karmanos Cancer Institute Health Equity Book Club's mission is to build awareness across the Karmanos Community and amongst health care professionals of issues related to and stemming from systematic racism in the health care system and society in the United States.
WSU President M. Roy Wilson was invited to be part of a panel discussion about the book on March 25, 2021. Follow this link to view the panel discussion and learn more about the Karmanos Health Equity Book Club.
