Tech Bunker & Vault

About the Space

Located within the Collaboration Commons on the 2nd floor of UGL, Wayne State's Tech Bunker and Vault are open to students, faculty, and community members. We encourage everyone to explore their creativity and enjoy access to various technologies and software. Available items include an Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, Makerbot Replicator + 3D Printer, Raspberry Pis, Leap Motion gesture computing, Alienware Aurora computers, and much more.

There is no charge to utilize the space, though for certain items, such as Raspberry Pi kits or 3D prints, we may ask you to bring your own items. All users are always welcome to bring their own supplies for their projects. This excludes filament, but we may ask you to provide your own for certain projects.

  • Try our virtual or in-person BYOD service: Bring your own device, technology, software, etc. and we'll work together to explore how to make it work best for you for school, work and even your personal life.
  • Technology reference: interested in topics like cybersecuity, cryonics, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, etc? Chat with us virtually or in-person to find the most up-to-date research on your topic of interest.
