Laptop Docking Stations: Quick Start Guide

New to the Libraries! The Libraries have laptop docking stations for student use in UGL, Purdy/Kresge, and Neef. Docking stations let you connect an extra screen, keyboard, and mouse to your laptop or tablet for smoother studying, higher productivity, and fast charging. They work with Windows laptops, MacBooks, and other USB-C compatible devices. See the guides below to get started.

 Find a Docking Station

All docking stations in the Libraries are first-come, first serve — no reservation necessary.

Undergraduate Library

  • 2nd Floor: 5 docking stations in open computing area
  • 3rd Floor: 5 docking stations in open computing area

Purdy/Kresge Library

  • 1st Floor: 4 docking stations in open computing area

  • 2nd Floor: 3 docking stations in study area near main elevators

Neef Law Library

  • Lab: 3 docking stations

  1. Connect USB-C cable to laptop

     
  2. Go to Settings > System > Display 

     
  3. Select a Duplicate option or Extend desktop to this display.

  4. Select the second monitor and select Extended Display
