Wayne State faculty, staff and students can use library resources off campus. The following instructions describe how to access web-based resources like ClinicalKey and AccessSurgery. Instructions for off-campus access:

1. First, to streamline user authentication start with locating the resource on Shiffman Medical Library's website. Wayne State Libraries use the EZProxy validation system.  
2. The EZProxy authentication page appears automatically when users click on a licensed library database from a non-campus location. 
3.  Enter your Wayne State access ID and password as instructed, when confirmed users are granted access to the resource.  

Please note, Shiffman Medical Library does not recommend accessing library resources through Academica as this may disable some resource features. We highly recommend accessing library resources from Shiffman Medical Library's homepage.
