I Need to Use the Library! What's Available? How Can I Use It?

What libraries are open and what are their hours?

You can find library hours on the top banner on the library homepage

  • There are 2 libraries open:  David Adamany Undergraduate Library and Arthur Neef Law Library
  • Walter P. Reuther Library and Archives is open by appointment. Contact to discuss your research needs
  • Shiffman Medical Library is closed until further notice due to water damage
  • Purdy/Kresge Library is closed.

How do I enter and use the library?

If you are coming to the library to study or use a computer, please make a reservation (or select the Reservations & Pickup link on the library homepage). If you are only picking up materials, you do not need to make a reservation.

Bring your OneCard with you and use the East Entrance (After Hours Entrance) of the Undergraduate Library. You will need to swipe your OneCard to enter. (The front entrance to the Undergraduate Library remains closed).

Be prepared to show the desk monitor your completed Daily Screener QR Code for that day.

In accordance with campus-wide guidelines, masks are required indoors for everyone, regardless of vaccination status, as of August 3, 2021.

Cleaning supplies are available on carts throughout the library to clean your space before use.

What can I access at the library?

  • Pick up books you have requested from the library, Interlibrary Loan and Mel.
  • Reserve a desktop computer, with or without webcam, or a study space with an outlet.
  • Printing
  • OneCard Machine
  • Check out a battery to charge your personal device in the library, 
  • Reserve a space to visit the TechBunker (during open hours)

Leaving the library

Cleaning supplies are available on carts throughout the library to clean your space when you leave.

Please exit from the East Entrance where you entered.
