Defining Primary Resources

What is a Primary Source?

As a quick refresher, primary resources are resources that were created at the time of the event in question, such as letters, newspaper articles, and photographs, or were created by witnesses after the fact, such as memoirs and oral histories. For more resources, here is the American Library Association's page on using and evaluating primary sources.
