During academic year 2016-17, faculty members at Wayne State piloted modules from Dividing the Kingdoms in several undergraduate courses.  This page contains selected examples of student work produced by members of those classes. 

In Dr. Chess’s section of ENG 2200 (Shakespeare), students tested out sample exercises from the Digital Humanities unit.  First, the class used Readux Beta to create digital annotations for Lear (Activity 4: Annotating Digital Texts).  Then students completed Assignment 1 (Bibliography) by working in groups to prepare annotated bibliographies for four different modules: Cultural Studies, Performance, Philosophy, and Text.  All of the annotations and bibliographies produced by the class can be found below.

In her section of ENG 3110 (English Literature to 1700), Dr. Goodrich assigned students a mini-edition based on Assignment 2 (Edition) of the Text module.  Working as individuals or in small groups, students edited twenty lines from Act 1, Scene 1.  This page provides sample mini-editions from three of the top students in that class: Cassidy Capoferri, Jalen Erickson, and Amal Shukr.
