A Rule by the Copyright Office, Library of Congress on 03/16/2023
Generally, AI generated work is not eligible for copyright.
A copyrightable work is one generated by a human creator.
Copyright applicants have a duty to disclose the inclusion of AI-generated content in a work submitted for registration and to provide a brief explanation of the human author's contributions to the work.
It can be interpreted that Creative Commons licensing only applies to work that has a human creator and carries a copyright. Therefore, work created by AI should not carry a creative commons license.
