Welcome!
Welcome to the guide for Dance!
I hope that you will find this guide a useful starting place for your research in Dance. I have assembled a collection of resources available through the Wayne State University Library System, as well as high quality, freely available web resources. This guide is a collaborative work-in-progress, developed with the suggestions and feedback from students and faculty in Dance.
I am available by appointment to assist students and faculty with research related to Dance. You may also contact me to schedule research workshops for classes or to suggest items for purchase.

Using the Dance Guide: An Important Tip
In order to prevent problems linking back and forth when using the Dance Guide resources, it will help if you keep a second copy of the Guide open.
To do this, go to the FILE menu in your browser, and select NEW WINDOW.
Do your linking and searching using this second window.
If you need to get back to the original Guide, you will be able to do so.
Using the Library

The library has a number of short online video tutorials (many are less than 2 minutes), that can help you to get started with your research paper.
The library's WSULS Instruction web page includes a list of helpful tutorials.
Some that may be of particular interest include:
~ How Do I Find an Article?
~ How Do I Use "Get It"?
~ How Do I Find a Book?
