Some things to note (Zoom)

Typing & other pluggables

  • Typing may be difficult if you do not have the wireless keyboard checked out for use with the Hub.
    • An on-screen keyboard will appear when a field that accepts text input is activated, but the keyboard is not the friendliest, and can sometimes jump in the middle of typing
  • There is a USB-A port on the side of the Hub that can be used to plug in a wired keyboard.
    • Stage-Left / House-Right
    • Or, as you're standing in front of the Hub and looking at it, it will be on your right side / the Hub's left side
  • There are also two USB-C ports on the Hub - one on either side of the Hub (left and right).

Camera & Microphones

  • You do not need the camera to join a meeting, but in order for meeting participants to see you, you will need to install the camera on the top of the Hub. There are microphones built into the Hub, so you can still talk in meetings without the camera.
    • Camera can be checked out from circulation, and should be returned once your session is complete.
  • You will still have the same options as normal meetings, to mute yourself, etc.
  • There should be no expectation of privacy when joining a meeting on the Hub. There is no headphone jack, and bluetooth headphones cannot be connected to the Hub at this time, so everyone within hearing distance will hear your meeting.
