University policy and procedures:

There is a well-defined process for dealing with possible or confirmed cases of COVID-19 on campus that meets or exceeds the CDC guidelines.  

A single case is not an indicator to close a building.   

If there is a suspected case, the CHC will ask FP &M to conduct deep cleaning of the spaces where the individual who has symptoms visited.

Those who may have had significant contact with the individual will hear directly from the Campus Health Center.  Those who may have had nonsignificant contact will also receive an email notification from the Campus Health Center. 

When COVID clusters appear, and there are increases of positive tests, additional measures will be taken and next steps will be determined by the Campus Health officials.
