A Note on Language
This guide refers to women, females, and girls in STEM. These words are used in existing scholarship and metadata. We acknowledge that they are exclusionary terms that fail to highlight how many of these issues also impact others who are invisible in current and historical study, including trans men, non-binary people, and other members of the LGBTQIA community.
