Setting EndNote Configurations to Find Full Text

You will need to configure your EndNote program with Wayne State information so you can use the Find Full Text function. You should do the following before you begin using the EndNote Program.

For Windows

  1. With the EndNote Program open on your computer, select Edit from the menu bar, then select Preferences... from the drop-down menu.
  2. In the left column, click on Find Full Text
  3. Place a checkmark in the box next to OpenURL
  4. In OpenURL Path, enter https://wayne.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/openurl/01WSUL_INST/01WSUL_INST:Services
  5. In Authenticate with: URL, enter https://proxy.lib.wayne.edu/login?url=
  6. Click on OK

EndNote is now configured to locate Wayne State journals articles that are available online

Adding a Citation Style to the Style Selection Drop-Down Menu

You will probably want to add APA, MLA or other styles to your selections in EndNote. There are two ways you can add styles to your style selection.

From your EndNote Library menu bar, choose Select Another Style from the style selection drop-down menu.

From the Choose a Style box, select the style you want by clicking on it

Click the CHOOSE button

From the open EndNote program, select Edit from the Menu Bar

Select Output Style from the drop-down menu

Select Open Style Manager from the menu

Find the style you want in the box titled EndNote Styles

Select the style by checking the box next to the style name

Close the EndNote Styles box using the red X in the upper right corner.
