It's easy to become overwhelmed with final exams, research papers, and other end-of-the-semester projects. Here are some tips and online resources to help get you through it.
If you're unsure of how to format citations and bibliographic entries, the library has several research guides on different formats which can be found here.
If you're having difficulty while searching for sources, remember to try using Boolean operators. Through the use of AND, OR, and NOT, you can either expand or limit the number of search results you receive. AND will retrieve resources with all of the terms you used, OR will retrieve sources with at least one of the search terms you used, and NOT will exclude sources containing specific search terms.
Don't forget to always try to use whatever advanced search options a given database may offer. For a more detailed guide to search techniques, check out this online guide provided by the University of London. \
For advice more specific to certain subject matters or disciplines, you can contact a subject specialist librarian for help.
Lastly, to help avoid plagiarism, the website Unicheck can check your papers for you. Be aware that if you have a Unicheck membership, it will store all the papers you check in your library. If you check different drafts of the same paper, this may result in the website believing you've plagiarized yourself.
